Well, it’s come a long way from the first scribbled sketches I posted on this blog in January – the first 13ʺ × 10ʺ fine art giclée print is now up for sale in the online shop.
I’ve never tried to sell photographs before on the online shop, so it's all a bit of an experiment. It’s also quite strange getting a piece of artwork printed by an external printers, compared with editioning my own lino prints.
I chose to have it printed on 310gsm Hahnemühle textured fine art paper (German Etch) – it’s a bit more expensive, but it's really nicely textured, acid-free, archival quality paper, so the colours will last. It has a very matt finish, but I preferred that to the gloss or satin papers offered by the print shop.
Anyway, prints are up for sale now in the online shop, so it’ll be interesting to see how it goes.
