Google Wave

checking out Google Wave (got my invite yesterday).

It's not a whole lot of use when you don't know anyone else on it - like owning the only telephone in the world.

Apparently I have 20 invitations of my own to send out. Drop me a message if you want one - I just need your email address. Oh, and it says that Google may not send you the invitation immediately, so if you don't get an invite straight away then don't worry.

Wow, I feel like I've just seen the future.

So google are trying to make email a thing of the past? and brand the actual means of communication rather than the platform? Pretty cunning.

Much as I hate the idea of 'waving' people rather than emailing them it does actually look pretty cool.
