Lazarus Corporation website redesign - scheduled for May(-ish)

Hi

This website is currently in the process of a major overhaul - that means recoding from the ground up: structure, functionality, and visual design.  You won't see any changes until it's all done, sometime around May this year.

My question for you is: what sort of features/functionality would you like to see?  Here's my checklist so far - it's very basic at the moment, so please add suggestions.

• the ability to view pieces of artwork - visual art and writing
• the ability to purchase pieces of artwork
• the ability to leave comments on pieces of artwork
• the ability to view articles & reviews
• the ability to leave comments on articles & reviews
• the ability to easily post items of interest to facebook/twitter
• (you tell me)

Wow I think sales would be a great idea, with paypal buttons and all, I think that would be better than just contact details, then folks can be encoraged to impulse buy if they so wish.

Comments, maybe, that would depend on individual artists.

Comments would be good on articles.

Facebook Twitter, sure, but be aware social network sites tend to change in prominence. If so I feel Myspace should be treated on an equal level, facebook is ok to an extent, myspace rules for music though..... not sure wher I am going with the Myspace thing, but I know it will develop to keep competing with Twitter and Facebook, so we should be aware of changes and how they would be benneficial to the site.

The galleries somehow being controlable by artists instead of having to ask moderator to do this and that, of course the moderator has overall say on what can and can't be? Like the Nottingham Studios site Laz. made, so it can be uploaded and all, obviously artists would have to be accepted first.

I think we need miles more artists and writers. been doing the myspace. Send me a not html bulletin text to send out. I think we could make this a massive artist and writing site?????

I'm starting to put something together now.  I won't be adding any new artists/writers until I launch the new version of the site in a couple of months - already putting out some feelers.
