Departure/The Midnight Shore (England’s Dark Dreaming № 24)

This is the twenty-fourth and final large-scale charcoal drawing in my England’s Dark Dreaming series.
This final drawing in the series breaks the developed format of the rest of the series by having the only clearly visible figure in the mid-ground rather than the foreground, the foreground figure being little more than a silhouette.
The figure with her back turned to the viewer first appeared in In the Woods. She took on an aspect of Hekate in At the Crossroads and The Procession, Part II before finally returning to her original form here.
The foreground figure, in darkness, is the main female character of the series.
