Oak Leaf Mask (2)

This is the second of the photographs of the Oak Leaf mask, another in the wider series cataloguing a mythology.
The knife in the photograph is a replica Viking utility knife - the emännänveitsi, kvinnokniv, or woman’s knife, although there is no archaeological evidence that they were solely used by women. I bought it while on a holiday in Stockholm.
A high-resolution version of this photograph is included in Paul Watson’s 2016 book of artwork Myth and Masks, available exclusively from our online shop.
