Untitled (Abstract Text Painting 5, 2008)

This is another 10 inch by 10 inch acrylic painting. Its on a readymade canvas, reprimed and varnished.

It is part of my text series, where text is painted unspaced and unpunctuated. This work was part of the pouring phase of that work so that abstraction was furthered in these works by pouring acrylic paint over sections of the work.

They deal with abstraction and the conceptual critique of formalism in the late 60s and early 70s. They break down those boundaries, simply because painting can.

This work was painted in 2008.
