Exhibition: Acid Renaissance: Arcana
I’m really happy to let you all know that I’m having a new exhibition here in Hastings in August this year, my first solo exhibition since Children of Mab in Treadwell’s bookshop in London back in 2022.
Acid Renaissance: Arcana
An exhibition of artwork by Paul Watson.
The new exhibition is entitled Acid Renaissance: Arcana and will feature a selection of my photographic work from my Acid Renaissance series, along with some of the masks I made that are featured in the photographs.
The venue is 1200 Postcards, a bar (in the tradition of Austin Osman Spare) on Queens Road in Hastings.
The opening event for Acid Renaissance: Arcana is 6pm-8pm on Friday 1st August, and all are welcome.

About the venue
1200 Postcards is a quirky Queens Road beer bar stocking the best real ale & craft beer from Sussex & the UK. In 1906 it was ostensibly a sweet shop, but the owner of the premises was secretly selling illicit French postcards under the counter. He was sentenced to three months imprisonment with hard labour for corrupting the morals of the community, and over 1200 of the seized postcards were destroyed.
