…I’ve been doing boring-yet-necessary financial stuff to set myself up as a self-employed artist - most of which entails reading a lot of boring-and-long-winded explanations of financial jargon.
I seem to have already made a loss of nearly £1500. Contrary to logic and common sense, it seems that this is a good thing, because I can offset that loss against the tax I pay in my day job, and get a tax rebate and end up better off.
Accountancy is clearly a world where madness rules, and it’s best that I don’t try to understand it and instead I should just get on with being an artist, wandering the streets of Brighton looking for inspiration.
Anyway, if all goes to plan I should have some prints for sale on my website next week, and some new artwork to show here.
