Well, it’s come a long way from the first scribbled sketches I posted on this blog in January – the first 13ʺ × 10ʺ fine art giclée print is now up for sale in the online shop.
I’ve never tried to sell photographs before on the online shop, so it's all a bit of an experiment. It’s also quite strange getting a piece of artwork printed by an external printers, compared with editioning my own lino prints.
I chose to have it printed on 310gsm Hahnemühle textured fine art paper (German Etch) – it’s a bit more expensive, but it's really nicely textured, acid-free, archival quality paper, so the colours will last. It has a very matt finish, but I preferred that to the gloss or satin papers offered by the print shop.
