Mailing list renaissance
I’ve run a mailing list/newsletter for this website since … possibly as far back as the late 1990s. Sometimes I’ve been good at sending out stuff, but more recently I’ve been very bad. I sent one out in February 2019 then nothing.
Well, nothing until now. I’ve decided to revamp the mailing list and make it both regular (monthly, to be precise) and more informative about all sorts of stuff. So I’ll be including details of interesting books I’ve read, other people’s blog posts and artwork and suchlike.
Yes, there’ll still be plenty of my artwork featured, but I want the newsletter to be broader in scope - more like my Twitter feed in terms of re-tweeting interesting things by other people as well as posting my own artwork. A useful community resource, in other words. And unlike Twitter, if you sign up to the mailing list then you won’t miss things in the algorithmic mess or busy flow of your Twitter timeline.
And if Twitter is bought by an even worse billionaire than the billionaires who run it at the moment then it’s a fallback, a way to keep communications and community open.
I’m also probably going to start using the mailing list to do some experimental things as well. For example, in the next email (which will be sent out early June) I’m going to try to include a discount code for my online shop.
Anyway, if I’ve followed the instructions below there should be a sign-up form below. You need to fill out all 3 fields and also check the “Email” checkbox (it’s something to do with GDPR, I think?). If that doesn’t work (or if you’re reading this on an RSS feed reader and it’s borked the form functionality) then there’s a form at https://www.lazaruscorporation.co.uk/mailing-list.
